2011 Ducati Multistrada apple ,maybe its the name.
In a study conducted by Brandchannel, a company that tracks product placement in movies, Ducati tied for second with Audi behind Apple as the most-recognized brand. The recognition isn't surprising, given Ducati's supporting roles in Tron Legacy, Knight and Day, Takers and The Expendables, among other recent films.

Ducati says that the response it received for a Hypermotard's role in Knight and Day has been phenomenal. (Nevermind that some of the more dangerous stunts were performed on an ~~Aprilia SXV 550~~ because the Hypermotard was deemed too heavy.)

Ducati being Ducati, officials swear they don't pay for any of the product placement they enjoy in Hollywood. Producers choose their bikes for movies because the brand is so well recognized and prestigious.

Audi will bring back the A2 to slot in between A1, A3

Remember when German automakers' line-ups were fairly straightforward? Take Audi, for example. There was the A4, the A6, and the A8. And that was pretty much it. But now there's an A1, A3, A5, A7, TT, R8, Q5, Q7...the list keeps growing. And it looks ready to keep on growing, too, as reports come in of Ingolstadt's plans to bring back the A2.

The original A2, as you may recall, was a lightweight premium hatchback that was built from 1999 through 2005. A little too pricey and a little too ahead of its time, the A2 never gained the traction in the world's marketplaces (it was never offered in North America). But now that nearly every automaker is exploring smaller vehicles and customers are detaching themselves from the notion that luxury equates with a certain size, the time could be right for the A2's return.

Lingenfelter unleashes supercharger package for the Dodge Challenger

if you own a 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger and now regret not waiting for the revamped 2011 models? There's no need to worry, as Lingenfelter has just the prescription to make you feel better. The performance company normally known for making go-fast Chevys has turned its attention to Mopars, offering a supercharger package for the first-generation V8 Challengers.

The forced induction comes in the form of a Magnuson TVS2300 supercharger complete with a 160 degree thermostat, upgraded fuel injectors and a high-flow intake system. The package can be installed on both the 5.7- and 6.1-liter V8 engines. Lingenfelter says that its 6.1-liter test car put out 500 rear-wheel-horsepower and knocked out the quarter-mile in a hair over 12 seconds at 120 miles per hour – just fast enough to make the owner of a new Challenger SRT8 392 feel disheartened with his new purchase.

This is BAC Mono gets real awesome.Maybe we watched too much A-Team when we were kids, but we just love it when a plan comes together. That's especially true when the plan involves an open-cockpit, single-seat racer like the BAC Mono. Designed specifically to put hardware like the KTM X-Bow, Ariel Atom and the whole Caterham bunch in their proper places, the Mono features a carbon fiber skin draped over a space-frame steel cell. The bodywork is slick as can be, but it pales in comparison to the fact that this beast is powered by a 2.3-liter Cosworth four-pot with 280 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque.

Considering the Mono tips the scales at a feathery 1,190 pounds, that should be more than enough pep to widen your eyes. The sad part? Briggs Automotive Company is only planning to hem 35 examples of the Mono, and 10 of the street-legal heathens are already spoken for. Of course, with a price tag of £67,000 pounds, we'd have more than a little trouble getting our hands on one even if we knew which palms to grease. BAC has been so kind as to release full specs on the machine as well as a volley of photos of the production model.BAC Mono gets real awesome.

The updated Opel Corsa is expected to come in January 2010. The small car features a lot of changes like re-vamped powertrain line-up, chassis improvements and a steering recalibration.The new Corsa will offer much better performance at even lower fuel consumption. Besides that the comfort for occupants is improved and the driving experience is far better, than the previous version of the car.

The exterior has no changes at all, the main updates are under the skin of Corsa. There are two available models – the coupé-like three-door and the family friendly five-door model. The small car is so well appreciated all over the world, that it accounts for some 30 percent of Opel/Vauxhall total sales.

The new engine line-up included in Opel Corsa models fully complies with Euro 5 standards. All engines have been revised to lower the fuel consumption and the harmful CO2 emissions. The 1.2 and 1.4 liter Twinport engine are each available in two versions with different outputs according to the customer wishes. Some of them prefer better fuel efficiency, the others will opt the better performance. The power units from 1.0 to 1.4 liter now need only 5 to 5.5 liters gasoline per 100km and on the top of this the maximum CO2 is 129 g/km.

The changes, which delivered these low numbers are:

A new oil pump optimizes oil pressure and reduces frictions, lowering fuel consumption.

A newly developed double camshaft phaser on the 1.2- and 1.4-liter engines improves the combustion process, allowing increased power and torque.

A new management of the thermostat reduces the engine warm-up phase, further lowering fuel consumption and emissions.

A shift-up indicator in the cluster informs drivers how they can save fuel.

The least powerful engine is 1.0 liter 3-cylinder with 65hp and 90N/m of torque. The previous generation of this engine developed only 60hp and 88Nm of torque and it had higher fuel consumption. The new engine reduced fuel consumption and emissions with a 13 percent. Now it needs 5.0 liter fuel and emits 117 g/km (from 5.6 liter/100 km and 134 g/km).

In this power segment Corsa is available with 1.2 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine developing 70hp and 115N/m of torque. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are respectively 5.3 liter/100 km and 124 g/km.

In the next greater powered segment Corsa offers new version of 1.2 liter engine with 85hp and 115N/m of torque. Again there are increasing of the horse powers and N/m with 5 and reducing of the fuel consumption and emissions with an 11 percent with manual transmission and with a 13 percent with Easytronic manual automated transmission. (5.1 liter/100 km and 119 g/km CO2 vs 5.8 l and 137 g).

Following the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is entering yet another racing car in the 2010 motorsport season: The 911 GT3 R will be raced in series based on the international FIA GT3 regulations, thus succeeding the 911 GT3 Cup S. The main focus in developing this new model was on even better drivability and even easier handling.

The 911 GT3 R is powered by a four-litre six-cylinder boxer engine delivering maximum output of 480 bhp (353 kW) transmitted to the rear axle by a sequential six-speed dog gearbox.

The starting point in developing the 911 GT3 R weighing just 1,200 kg or 2,646 lb was the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup presented in September for one-make cup racing. Thanks to its increase in engine size by 0.2 litres, the GT3 R offers 30 bhp more than the Cup model. Both cars are based on the extra-wide body of the 911 GT3 RS street-legal sports car.

An anti-lock brake system (ABS), traction control and an e-gas with "throttle-blip" function make it much easier to get used to this new GT3 racing car than its predecessor, meaning that the new model is also more appropriate for the ambitious amateur racing driver.

Flared wheel arches added on to the body both front and rear bear clear testimony to the wider track than on the former model. And like all second-generation versions of the 911, the new 911 GT3 R also comes with striking LED rear light clusters.

The Porsche 911 GT3 R is making its world debut on 14 January 2010 at the Birmingham Motor Show. The car is built by Porsche's Motorsport Department at the Weissach Development Centre and will be delivered to Customer Teams the world over as of spring 2010. The base price of the Porsche 911 GT3 R is 279,000 euros plus local sales tax/VAT
